RUN FOR A CAUSE AT THE CSUF ANIMAL TRAX 5K

November 19th, 2005 - Saturday

FULLERTON, Calif.—The Animal Trax 5K/10K walk/run is back for the third consecutive year to give runners another opportunity to exercise alongside their pets. Animal Trax 3 will be held at California State University Fullerton on Saturday, November 19, 2005.

Proceeds from this event will benefit New Beginnings for Animals of Mission Viejo, Calif., a five-year-old non-profit organization dedicated to saving animals from shelters and placing them into adoptive homes. What started as just one rescue turned into a whole organization devoted to saving animals of all kinds from being euthanized. A portion of proceeds will also go directly to Louisiana State University’s efforts to rescue pets abandoned in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

The day will be filled with games such as obstacle courses, entertainment, a dog talent show, best pet-owner lookalike contest, best dressed dog contest, a kids-zone with activities like face painting, clowns with balloons, food and beverages.

Join Cal State Fullerton’s Public Relations Students Society of America’s Animal Trax walk/run. The 10K will begin at 9 a.m. and the 5K will immediately follow at 10 a.m. Fees for the 5K are $15 before November 10 or $20 after, and fees for the 10K are $20 before November 10 or $25 after.
